Side events at INC6

A number of side events were organized by Governments, intergovernmental and non governmental organizations to relay timely and relevant information to participants in the sixth session of the intergovernmental negotiating committee on mercury (INC6)  held from 3 to 7 November 2014 at the premises of the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific in Bangkok, Thailand and the preceding regional consultations on 2 November 2014. The United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR), the Interim Secretariat of the Minamata Convention, the Secretariat of the Basel, Rotterdam, and Stockholm Conventions, and the Swiss Confederation jointly organized a side event on "the ratification of the Minamata Convention : Highlights Collaboration Across Countries, Regions and Conventions".
